I started in June 2017

What was your first position within the Collection?

Spa Receptionist.

What other positions have you held since you began working for Galgorm Collection?

I progressed into Spa Reception Manager in 2020, then progressed into Assistant Thermal Village Manager in 2021, before making my latest change in job and location to Spa Operations Manager at The Rabbit in 2023.

Tell us how Galgorm Collection helped you progress your career?

Galgorm Collection has always supported progression. They placed me onto courses with BABCOCK. These courses allowed me to progress through the company with the knowledge and experience I gained from it. The management within the company are also fantastic at helping you take on extra responsibilities to gain experience to allow you to progress into new roles. I wouldn’t be in the position I am today without the managers I have had working above me for the last 6 years.

Tell us about any qualifications, courses or training you have completed while working for the Collection?

I have completed my Level 2 Front of House NVQ, alongside Level 3 Supervision and Leadership NVQ. I have also completed a first aid course, and a Pool Plant course. These courses have widened my knowledge and allowed me to gain further experience.

What is your current position and your day to day duties?

My current position is Spa Operations Manager at The Rabbit. My day-to-day duties include overseeing the running of the facilities whilst managing each mini department within the Spa. These departments include Spa Therapy, Spa Assistants, Spa Bar and Spa Pool Plant. I ensure that standards are met and that the guest journey is as smooth as possible.

What do you love the most about working for Galgorm Collection?

I love that every day is different, and you get to meet new people each day, and work alongside a great team of driven individuals.

What would you say to someone thinking of joining the Hospitality Industry?

The Hospitality Sector is a brilliant career if you are willing to work hard and embrace each day as it comes. There is so much progression within the industry, but especially within Galgorm Collection itself. You won’t look back!
